“Le vrai moleskine n’est plus. ” With this statement by Bruce Chatwin in 1989, a reflection begins on the transformation of an everyday object: from artisanal production to standardized mass manufacturing. The work is based on a tracing of a notebook used in 2023, reproducing the pores that imitate skin, with the intention of identifying repetitive patterns. However, instead of a homogeneous repetition, marks and signs of wear appear as a result of use, once again making the object unique. Through this gesture, the project sets in tension mass production and individual experience, connecting with the idea of a regulated and imposed time.
